The group met at the Farmpark and viewed the quilts on display including five entered by members of
our group (see below) and many others quilted by Kathy McCarty.
Then it was off to the Willoughby Brewing Co. for lunch.
After lunch, several of the members visited Erie Street Quilts, also in Willoughby.
There was a balance of $211.20 plus the $16 collected at the meeting today brings the treasury total
Linda Bennett and Beth Safick are working on a professional looking brochure we can use to advertise
the longarm group and refer potential customers to the website.
Doug Creasy has agreed to attend our August meeting and discuss setting up a route to deliver his
machine repair/maintenance services. He will also cover tips on how to keep our machines in good
working order. Members who are interested in Doug's services should send him an email with their
name, machine type and what services they are interesting in receiving. (send to

Dottie modeled the denim shirt she purchased from a women in Texas that has her business name and
a longarm machine embroidered on the front. Linda Miller has offered to embroider shirts for the group
in a similar manner. We need to decide on a format (logo?) for the group and Linda will digitize the
text and graphic for embroidery. Each member can purchase a denim shirt of their choice and give it to
So far, we have 15 members signed up to each do one of the challenge quilts. Those members who
haven't indicated which of the four designs they want to do should post an email on the Yahoo group
to let us know which they've chosen. The quilts need to be turned in at the September meeting.
