MEETING MINUTES submitted by Janet Joehlin
1) Welcome. We had 3 guests: Carol Selepec, Debbie Arden, Joan Benincasa (Martha Creasy's sister)
2) Thank you Doug and Martha for hosting our meeting. You have a fabulous shop!
3) Airtex Batting Samples- Amy Jones and Carol Rickard have not received their Airtex samples. Mary will contact the
company again.
4) Batting Sample Project- The 2 remaining batting samples will be handed out at the July meeting. Thank you for your
patience.
5) July Meeting- Shirley Stutz will be the guest speaker on July 16 at the Peninsula Library. There will be a potluck lunch.
We will limit the non-members to 10 and they will pay $10.00 each. Mary Zeitz is the contact person and all info for
non-members is on the website.
6) Lotto Basket/July Meeting- Sarah Bistline, head of fund-raising, will put together a lotto basket for the July meeting. If
anyone has any donations for it please contact Sarah.
7) Speaker System- NEORQC has a system available for $50.00 which is refundable. We will use that when necessary.
8) August Meeting- Our hostess, Dottie Bettiker, will have a "Trash to Treasure" table for anyone interested at this meeting.
Each item should have your name and the price clearly labeled please.
9) September Meeting- There was some discussion on what we would like Jodi Robinson to demonstrate at the Sept.
meeting. We all agreed that anything Jodi showed us from her latest book would be great.
10) July 2006 Meeting- (Fran Kordek, quilt judge) If anyone does NOT want their trunk show quilt judged please contact
Dottie or Mary.
11) World Quilt and Textile Show- Advertising a business card size ad would cost $125. We all kind of shook our heads
NO.
12) NEORQC February Weekend- As members of NEORQC we are each eligible to go to this exclusive weekend. Info on
classes are on the website. There is a link on the OLAQ website. Janet Joehlin will have handouts at the July meeting if
anyone is interested. The registrations cannot be postmarked before Sept.1.

Speaker - Carol Selepec, award winning longarm quilter
Carol brought a quilt top to on which she showed different ways to quilt each block. She demonstrated freehand feathers,
stitch-in-the-ditch with and without a ruler, and various ideas for filling the space. She will be donating the finished quilt to
"Quilts of Valor". Click here to see pictures.
Carol also brought several of her spectacular, award-winning quilts to share with us. Click here to see pictures.
