Program Committee:
May OLAQ meeting is at Janet Marlatt’s. There will be a change in the program, Sue Moats is not coming.   The
program committee will advise what the alternate program will be.    Janice is in Zanesville, about 4 miles from A
Touch of Thread.    You can get directions from the
meeting page on the website.

June meeting is at NQA in Columbus at 4pm – Kathy McCarty is presenting her lecture at 1:30pm.   For the June
meeting program (presentation by Superior Threads, you need to buy a voucher from Jackie Gritzinger for $10.
This voucher is also good for $10 worth of merchandise from the Superior Threads booth at the show.

July meeting in Massillon is an open meeting.

August meeting in Stow is an open meeting.  Our guest attorney wants questions ahead of time so he can be well
prepared.  Please send your questions to Jackie Gritzinger so she can organize and send them to him.
Fund Raising:
Sewing Expo booth, end of March: a little under $500 of raffle tickets was sold. They also passed out flyers for
QwM.

Over four thousand raffle tickets are not in Sarah’s possession. She has a little over 1000 in her possession.
Discussion on whether we should print more. We want to make sure we have tickets to sell at the event.

May 17, Aeros Ballgame, Education Day – not enough people signed up to help. Please contact Linda Miller if you
can help.  Remember, non members are welcome to work the booth with us.

Discussion on many quilt shows where we may sell raffle tickets –
Burton Show, 5/19 & 20, 10-5pm ; Need
workers. Old Union Town Quilters, Ashland , 7/6 & 7. Honey Bee Quilters, June 23.

Garage Sale is being held 5/11 & 12 at Lynne Gray’s house. She has had several volunteer to help – Ellie
Monroe, Nancy Gano, Caro Rickardl, Connie Rice and Mary Zeitz. Thank you volunteers.

QwM:
Fifty-one have signed up for QwM classes.

Target number of $$ has been reached to break even.

We may have unexpected expenses, for example, a microphone. We could also use it at our monthly meetings.
Carolyn Mann is checking on the specifics of the setup that her guild uses so that we can have more information
when we shop for ours.

We have a new PR Chairperson, Dottie Bettiker and her committee includes Bobbie Badovick, Janet Joehlin,
Sandra Soni.

Diane Wantz is making a list of all the volunteers’ responsibilities at
QwM for our convenience. Thank you, Diane.

QwM flyers were passed out to members for delivery to shops to save postage. There are some still needing
mailed.

At the Sewing Expo, some vendors were interested in vending at
QwM. We have 19 now and there are possibly 4
more. The next visit to Das Dutch Village Inn is on Monday, May 14th.   The committee will re-evaluate space
available.

Events Committee figured 30 ads at $25 should cover the cost of the Events Booklet.

Janet Kiser is getting donations for raffle baskets or door prizes for the event from people like Gammill, Nolting,
Warm Company, YLI, Hobbs and many others. Members may donate also but please don’t donate used items.   A
link to the list of the vendors that we solicited is available on the
Members Only page.  Please review the list and
suggest additional vendors that we can contact.

Event Demos – Jodi Robinson reported we are doing well.

The minimum number of students we want in a class is 10. If there is less, we will ask the teacher if he/she still
wants to teach to that number.  If not, the class will be canceled.

Treasury Report:
See Treasury page for balance.

Quilter’s Day Out, 5/2 & 3, –  Warren, Ohio  . Guest speaker and luncheon.

Dottie Bettiker and Kathy McCarty went to the MQX show. Their credit cards were saying “use me, use me”, but
D&K were a little disappointed in the vendors’ inventory.  They admitted they preferred the MQS show.

Diane Wantz asked when we have OLAQ paid education events if we could have them more centrally located so
more members can attend.

Fat Quarter Drawing:
Carol Srajer winner. Way to do Carol!!

Presentation:
