This may include a copy of a business card or brochure and a link to their own website, if they have one. A link to their business page will be on their listing on the Members page and also on the Site Map.

Monthly Meetings Generally, we have CLOSED meetings - meaning that only Standard Members may attend. Occasionally, we have OPEN meetings where Associate Members and non-members are invited to attend, usually with a limit on the number we can include. Associate members will be invited 7 days prior to the general public to such events and they must register to reserve their spot. These events may require a fee to be paid as well. If a meeting is being hosted by a member and they provide the refreshments, a fee of $5.00 will be paid to the hostess by each member. (Fee subject to change) If the meeting location is at a restaurant, each member is responsible for paying for their own food and drink. Prior to the meeting date, a page is posted on the OLAQ website which includes complete details about the meeting. After the meeting, this page is updated with the meeting minutes and pictures of show 'n tell. About 2 weeks prior to the meeting, a poll is posted to the Yahoo group for members to indicate if they will be attending the meeting. When the poll is created, an email is sent to all members to advise that the poll is there with a link to go directly to the poll.
Block Design Exchange A different quilt block is posted on the website each month. Each member who wants to participate should print the block and draw their quilting design on it. Then make 30 copies. Bring these copies to the meeting, or send them with a friend, or mail them to the librarian. The following month, each member who participated will receive a copy of all the designs for that block. See the webpage for complete details.
Fat Quarter Drawing At each meeting, members can bring a fat quarter of that month's color or theme (shown on that month's meeting page) and they will have a chance to win all of the fat quarters in the drawing.
Quilt Challenges Each year, a different type of quilt challenge will be presented to the group. Standard Members may participate and nominal awards will be given to top three quilts that are voted as favorites by the membership.
Dues All members are required to pay a yearly amount of $20 for dues. Dues are not refundable. Members joining mid-year will pay a prorated amount depending on when they actually join.
Participation Standard Members are required to participate in some manner during each membership year in addition to paying dues. Lack of participation may result in the loss of membership. Officers will review the membership contributions on a yearly basis and will have the authority to terminate membership at their discretion.
Fund Raisers All members are encouraged to participate in periodic fund raising events to finance programs, field trips, etc. to further our quilting education and enjoyment.
